This October, Random Reviews Incorporated will still be...random. I don't do many theme months, as I like to think that I celebrate Halloween all year long. I WILL have a giveaway towards the end of the month, however. Also, I plan on reviewing the following films...

Lake of Dracula
Pet Sematary 2
Nikos the Impaler
The Oracle
Dead Alive
Shrieker
Terror in the Swamp
Things

List subject to change. Website subject to be awesome. Remember, it's updated daily...swing by!

We're keeping up the daily Halloween/horror posts on my site throughout the month of October, but we're also running a huge Halloween contest this year! It's a combined photo scavenger hunt and costume contest, and we have some great prizes (over $500 in gear from Kingston Hard Drives, $150 from Bettie Page Clothing Company, etc). Come on over and take a peek!

To celebrate Halloween, we will be reviewing as many horror films as we can, revisiting classics, as well as some obscure titles and cult movies. We'll also try and add more to our Video Nasty Project - our mission to view all the titles on the infamous UK banned list. We'll also be adding to our Grindhouse Project, which is our goal to watch all the films whose trailers were shown in Nucleus Films' Grindhouse Trailer Classics DVD's.

Hope to see you!

I'll be starting up Argento-thon this week - wherein I make an attempt to watch everything directed by Italian horror maestro Dario Argento that I haven't seen... so basically everything after Opera.

I'd love to compile a bunch of other articles on Argento's work - so if you have articles (new or old) on anything Argento, send them my way and I'll link to them!

Hey everybody, inspired by this years Sight & Sound poll of the greatest films of all time according to the world's most respected critics, I've decided to assemble a list of the top horror films of all time and I need your help. I'm looking for at least 100 horror bloggers/podcasters/critics to submit their top 10 list of what they feel are the best horror films. I'll compile them and we'll see what films are truly the best (well according to us anyway!) I think this will be a fun side project for me and fun for everyone involved. SO if you're interested email me your name, url and top 10 list (doesn't have to be in order) to basementscreamsblog@gmail.com. I'm in the process of setting up a page for the list with more info to come soon. Thanks in advance! Any questions hit me up at the above email or on twitter @basementscreams

Not exactly sure what I am going to do, but I have, however, discovered that I actually still have a blog (haven't posted (until yesterday) a post since June), so I guess I am saying I am getting back into it.

I might review some short horror films or something...

More new art this month at Zombie Bites:

October began with the return of the patron spirit of Halloween. Jack's return was celebrated with a boost in the weekly Featured Creature. Each week in October will feature two creatures! If any month of the year should have more creatures on the prowl, October is it!

The creature expansion immediately uncovered a fresh zombie and a pattern of infection began which very rapidly expanded into a catastrophic zombie outbreak. The last thirteen days of October will be filled to overflowing with extra creatures from the Halloween Zombie Outbreak. The 19th through Halloween will feature one new zombie trick-or-treater each day, mapping the outbreak of a doomed All Hallow's Eve! Come see the infection as it happens!

Check it out at Zombie Bites!

Halloween Hellos from I Think, Therefore I Review!

This month (and probably well into November!) we're doing a series of Classic Horror viewing lists complete with corny screen captures in anticipation of both the sophisticated Halloween marathoner and the campy drinking game needs.

Check us out for tips on last minute black and white scares!

I know it's a little late to announce it, but at my blog Midnite Media, I'm currently involved in my 4th annual HALLOWEEN BLOGATHON. This year it's all about Jason Voorhees. 24 posts in 24 hours--almost 9 hours in, but there's still plenty to go.
