Well, now I CAN!!!
Yup. My dreams came true over at Horror Addicts. It's a website dedicated to one of the biggest online collection of horror movies I've ever seen. Plus it's all FREE!!! That's right. Free to join one of the largest online horror movie based communities on the web. How can I not join in to such a sweet deal....
And not only movies. They have the obligatory forum stuff, plus some amazing online games, free PC based programs, you name it, it's pretty much all collected for the avid horror head all in one nice little playground. How this site hasn't been more widely advertised I'll never know. But I found it. And now... so can you dear HBA readers.
So, what are you waiting for? Go ahead and check Horror Addicts out HERE.
You know you want to....
The Gentlemen's Blog to Midnite Cinema
I'm not one for using the HBA for self promotion, as I find it to be a bit tacky on my part to do so, but this is for the greater good, so I simply felt obligated to share with you all. The Gentlemen's Blog to Midnite Cinema has been unleashed upon the world, and this newest genre driven blogging endeavor is a sort of extension of the phenomenal podcast known as The Gentlemen's 'Guide' to Midnite Cinema. What would certainly interest many of the HBA members is the cast of great contributors to this new blog, many of which are members of this here fine Alliance. These would included, Aaron of The Death Rattle, T.L. Bugg of The Lightning Bug's Lair, Emily from The Deadly Doll's House of Horror Nonsense, Rupert Pupkin of Rupert Pupkin Speaks, Pickleloaf from Assorted Loaf and yours truly of Chuck Norris Ate My Baby. If that's not enough to put a Kool-Aid smile on your adorable little face, then nothing will. So please take a moment to head over and check out the blog, and a follow or two would be much appreciated!
Thanks for you time!

The HBA Takes A Stab At: Devil!
It has become apparent that the summer certainly belongs to horror, and here we are once again with another theatrical release that is straight reppin' the genre we all love dearly. This weekend we get a film from the mind of M. Night Shyamalan, who promises to be giving us a one way ride to the bottom floor with, Devil. I'm not sure if the horror community is clamouring for this one, but I think it could certainly be interesting. Will Devil be the road back to healing after the last few awful films that have come out of the Shyamalan camp? I'm counting on YOU for the answer, so if and when you see and do a write up for the film, leave a comment and the link to the review below and we can add her up for all to see.

Random Question of the Day
So which director can be considered the MOST criminaly overlooked? Who should rightfully be placed with the masters, yet for some reason never seems to get thier due?

The HBA Takes A Stab At: Resident Evil: Afterlife!
And here we are again with yet another weekend genre release, but this time around it is not a remake, it's not a shaky cam film nor is it even a movie influenced by a trailer. Instead, we get a sequel. I of course am talking about the latest installment in the successful Resident Evil series, Resident Evil: Afterlife. It's kind of funny that this one should come out just after we had a random question concerning franchises that people dislike, and it's even more funny that no one had even mentioned the RE series as it is one that certainly divides the general horror census. Personally, I find the series to be pure B-Movie fun, but will I think the same about this newest 3D edition?! Better yet, who cares what I think, let's hear your thoughts on this fourth installment, shall we? Watch the film, write the review and send it in to horrorbloggeralliance (@) hotmail (.) com or leave it in the comments down below and we will all dance a dance of true happiness afterwards.
Guardians of the Genre!: RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE AN ADDED DIMENSION BRINGS ADDED LIFE! or 3D AND ME!
Terror Titans: 'Resident Evil: Afterlife' is best since original
Dr Blood's Video Vault: Resident Evil: Afterlife (2010)
Random Question of the Day
What is your LEAST favorite horror franchise? Is there one that you simply despise, or even just a series that falls flat and right into the mediocre category for you? This should be an easy one for most people, but I am very curious as to what answers come about and if any particular franchise gets a lot of mentions.

Toronto 2010 Fan Expo pt.1: Friends and Fiends
Meeting Ghoulish Gary Pullin was a wonderful treat. He is a HUGE influence for me and a big reason why I push myself so hard to offer up the best art every time. Gary has set the bar for horror art, and I reach for it with every drawing. I even had a chance to give him the ZomBie portrait I painted of him ( see next photo) It was great to spend some time at the RueMorgue booth and to chat with an Icon.
Another real treat for me was meeting Lloyd kaufman. and see him. When I did he remembered me, gave me a hug and Lloyd has entertained me so much over the years that I decided to draw a Llloyd/Toxic Avenger piece. I sent him a TwittPic before the show and told him I was going to drop by his boothautographed my illustration. I can die happy now.
I got a double dose of RueMorgue this weekend, I had also drawn a ZomBie portrait for the host of RueMorgue Radio, Tomb Dragomir. It was nice to meet him in person and chat for a bit. He actually saw me going up the escalator wearing my Bloody Mary T-shirt. ( that was a great investment) Tomb is a GREAT guy and it was a blast to do his portrait. Check him out at RueMorgue Radio.
I ran into, and was almost devoured by my friend Thea from the Toronto Zombie Walk. rather than take a bite out of me and turn me into one of the undead, she posed for a picture of her and her portrait.
Part 2: It's all me, coming soon!

The HBA Takes A 'Stab' At: Machete!
It would certainly appear that the end of the 2010 summer is reserved for genre pictures, but I ain't complaining, no sirre. You guys all know the drill by now…watch the movie, write your thoughts on the internet then send that ish our way so we can share it with the rest of the alliance. Leave it in the comments section below or send it in to horrorbloggeralliance (@) hotmail (.) com and it will be added as soon as I finish with my pedicure. We had a great turn out for the last few of these, so I want to thank everyone that has sent them in. Also, make sure you go and support Machete this weekend, that is if you ever want to see a full theatrical release of Thanksgiving!
