I thought Godzilla was a mess, the monster had no character and the humans didn't either. They forgot to make the movie that went along with all these wonderful effects.

So true! Even as a kid, I thought it was hokey!
Ooh ouch. Hearing that from Romero makes it hurt even more. Let's hope Legendary does Big G some justice in the next years coming, it's about time he got the credit he deserves in American cinema.
